From stone you have several choices of routes, for an energetic week you can do the Four Counties Ring visiting shropshire, staffordshire, Cheshire and the Midlands. Or an easier week: the Cauldon which offers lift bridges, tunnels, a river, steam engines and the churnet valley. In 10 days the Cheshire Ring Manchester and the Anderton Boat lift. In 2 weeks Llangollen, Wales and the famous Aquaduct, naming but a few, each offering slightly different aspects of boating. Not forgetting those 3 or 4 day shortbreaks to re charge the batteries, traveling south to Great Haywood and shugborough Hall or North and the Potteries.
